Taking The Yellow Book (1894-97) as its central text, The Yellow Nineties Online is site devoted to fin-de-siècle aesthetic periodicals and the contexts of their production. In addition to publishing facsimile editions of aesthetic periodicals, the site features paratextual material including cover designs, advertising materials, and reviews. The project’s primary material is accompanied by peer-reviewed fin-de-siècle contributor biographies and critical essays. Housed at Ryerson’s Centre for Digital Humanities, The Yellow Nineties Online was recently peer-reviewed by the The Networked Infrastructure for Nineteenth-Century Electronic Scholarship (NINES). Currently a research collaborator, I honed my humanities computing skills as project manager and research associate for The Yellow Nineties Online.
